Ingredients Unit Manager - Your future position?

In this position you will manage and lead the newly established Global Ingredients Management team in Budapest. You will be responsible for a team of three; they will perform ingredient quality, regulatory and administrative tasks. You will act as their local manager and next to your people management responsibilities you will as well have operational responsibilities in the ingredient quality and regulatory area. If you have sound knowledge in ingredient quality control/management and proven track record of leading teams here is our exciting role for you:

In this role you will:

Lead and manage: you will supervise the local Ingredients Management organization making sure all local corporate needs are met. You will coach and motivate the team members, support them in assigned projects and play a key role to connect them to the Global Ingredients and Cardex Management team and other relevant stakeholders in the flavours organization.

Perform operational activities: You will introduce ingredient inspection plans and related quality data for new ingredients and manage change, as well as regulatory data for new ingredients. You will manage alternate vendor approval and new product introduction workflows. You will identify opportunities and execute improvement projects.

Work in close collaboration: You will liaise with relevant stakeholders from Procurement, Quality, Product Safety and Regulatory Affairs, Flavours Creation and Application to resolve issues.

Your professional profile includes:


  • University or College degree preferably in biochemistry, biology, food security/ food quality field
  • 5+ years relevant work experience, preferably in the food/flavours industry
  • 2+ years team managing experience
  • Good organization skills and interpersonal skills are required
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office tools
  • Willingness to travel within Europe
